About Basingstoke counselling

There’s huge strength in what you’re doing, looking for help. Within the safety of the counselling room (online or in person) is where any subject can be explored. By talking, we’re able to gradually uncover sources of pain, shame, loss, regret, disillusionment, fear—nothing is off the table.

In Person Centred Counselling, I work empathically, listening carefully, to fully understand you. This may be the first time you set aside time, just for you. I can help you be the person you’ve always meant to be. I’m able to help you to:

  • Understand your emotions/feelings such as stress, anxiety, sadness, depression, shock, grief, overwhelm or isolation
  • Gain insights into your relationships
  • Make changes to your life and/or to accept things that can’t change
  • Work towards personal goals
  • Feel more hopeful and/or find meaning and purpose in life

In my role as your counsellor, I offer professional support across various aspects of life including, work, parenting, family dynamics, friendships, personal identity, finances, career advancement, and sexuality, among other areas.

Counselling provides a unique opportunity to dedicate an entire hour (most will only give you 50 minutes, or less) to exploring your thoughts and feelings, an experience that is often rare in our busy lives. Have you ever felt frustrated when attempting to share your experiences with someone, only to be interrupted or given unsolicited advice? As your therapist, I am committed to providing a supportive environment where you can freely express yourself as we work together to navigate the complexities of your relationships with yourself and others.

Recognising that each individual is unique, our therapeutic approach will be tailored to your specific needs and preferences. I view counselling as a collaborative journey, offering diverse strategies to address your concerns effectively.

Whether you prefer in-person sessions in Basingstoke, virtual meetings, or sessions at home, I invite you to reach out for a complimentary phone consultation. During this initial conversation, we can explore the reasons prompting you to seek therapy and determine if we are well-suited to work together. If so, we can then schedule counselling sessions at a time convenient for you.
